I agree - this is insightful and true. It took me the longest time to figure out that I was attracting guys who weren't right for me, because they were actually attracted to my persona. I've come to realize it's better to be single than to be in a bad/neurotic/co-dependent relationship. I've decided to let my light shine, and to work on developing my character - having an independent intellectual identity, having my own hobbies and interests, etc. I've worked hard to present the real me in my interactions with men, which doesn't mean that I'm an "open book" - it's possible to be honest, and to retain a little mystery. I can also discern the qualities in a man that I appreciate, and at the same time recognize that we're not a good fit as a relationship.


And, as you said in another video - "A connection is not a relationship."



In a funny way, it reminds of something that I think Dolly Parton said, "Dumb blonde jokes don't bother me - first of all, because I'm not really a blonde, and second of all....I KNOW I'm not dumb!"

FINALLY! Someone who advises on relationships by having you work from within. I’ve watched so many relationship videos on YouTube and they were all a bunch of techniques. Do this, say that, if he ignores you, ignore him back, blah blah blah... They’re all about playing a bunch of games. Having a great relationship truly begins with working on becoming the best YOU that you can be. You can’t be a broken mess and think that you can make anything work with anybody by using some stupid techniques. My life has changed so amazingly during the last year, that now being married I wanted to disagree with each and every love-coach.
This video appeared as one of my 'watch later' list. And I came to have now my word on the topic. But I suddenly approve your words.
Because it's real happiness, when you don't try hard, don't create all the magical aura and infatuation. Christ, that's liberating! I've been chosen by someone who loves me and now learn what normal relationship looks like. Like a blessing, really! So harmonizing.

Loved it! Very true that we can not do wrong with the right guy. If they are "right", no need for all those extreme efforts at all! But sometimes that right guy might not just turn into more than a friend because of the circumstances. Right now I am experiencing that aspect but still exciting :)
