Hi. My name is Darek and in this video I'll show you how I made a Spot Welder DIY using simple tools.
The main assumption was to make this without special tools.
As you seen, mostly I used a drill and an angle grind and the end result came out really cool.

Costs:

A transformer from the scrapyard - $ 2.00
A welding cable 1 meter - $ 2.00
Connectors - $ 1.00
An aluminum square tubing - $ 4.00
Door hinges - $ 2.00
The rest of the materials I had in the workshop, but if I had to buy them, would not cost more than $ 10.00
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$ 21.00 (my cost $ 11.00)

The welder works really, really well. After a few minutes of work, only the aluminum arms are warm. Thanks to the fact that they are made of aluminum, they quickly give off the heat and the entire transformer and the coils are cold.

The skill and resourcefulness of these guys is awesome. Many years ago I worked in auto salvage with a guy from eastern Europe. Some tools and many kinds of spare parts were rare there, so, like him, they learned to fabricate whatever they needed from scratch, you name it! And they did it well.

I worked at a body shop for many years and started my own shop about 4 years ago and I had one at my original job and also bought one for my shop now to weld on quarter panels and different sheet metal panels to have a factory look to them and have the same strength as stock. Mine I have now cost me close to 3k! It is very nice and has multiple attachments for different jobs but after seen this video I really regret clicking on it to see how I could have saved so much frikn money by not buying the one I have now!! Lol I'll make one so I don't completely burn out my other one because I use it a lot! Way cool man!! Thanx for sharing!!

It's nice for a change, to see something that says do-it-yourself and not have to have a 200$ welder, 400$ metal lathe. something that you could actually do with a hacksaw, a file, and a couple of drill bits. now this is something that anybody could probably build and I praise this guy for this. it's awesome finally someone gets it. nobody else seem to get the concept, do-it-yourself.

Now that's how an instructional/ constructional video should be done, no B's, no talking just straight down to business, one picture is worth a thousand words !

Pozdrawiam

I wish everyone would use your method in making DIY videos. Some blow hards spend half the time tell everyone how wonderful they are. Good job Mr. Made In Poland.

Chciałbym, żeby każdy wykorzystał twoją metodę do robienia filmów dla majsterkowiczów. Niektóre harderzy spędzają połowę czasu na mówieniu wszystkim, jak cudowni są. Dobra robota Mr. Made In Poland

last used one in shop class, 30 years ago. Spot welding a piano hinge to some sheet metal with my shop teacher looking over my shoulder. I'll never forget it. Got one of my fingers a little too close and jerked my hand away real quick. He didn't even move. Without hesitation he says "MMmm. Smells like steak!"

You're very quick and you've simplified the method of construction. The results are impressively strong. Mine took ages to design and make. Congratulations on a useful welder. I think you'll be able to use yours for welding up rechargable batteries too, if you don't linger too long on the "ON" button.

Лайк! Всегда немного завидовал тем, кто умеет хорошо с металлом работать и имеет возможность практиковать это постоянно.
