2 lessons from this video:
- Don't mess with the person who prepares your food
- Don't work at a restaurant you eat at because you'll realise the dark truth behind what actually happens there

The only part of this that is at all shocking to me is that IHOP serves fish, and that someone has actually ordered it.

As a 15 year old currently working at a restaraunt i can confirm we do wipe shit on our aprons instead of washing our hands

Don't ever work at a restaurant you eat at. You will quickly lose your appetite to go back.

There are a few reasons why I stopped eating out.
1. It's become way too expensive. For what I pay to eat at McDonald's, (McDonalds! not even a real restaurant) I can buy two days worth of food at a grocery store.
2. Hygiene. Most commercial kitchens could use a serious scrub, including the employees. You're trusting your health to people that don't care what you're eating.
3. I've discovered that cooking isn't difficult or time consuming. You can make a meal in 20 minutes, or in less time than it takes to drive to a restaurant and get your order.

I worked for fast food for 5 years in different restaurants. This is why I’m ALWAYS nice and respectful to the workers so my food isn’t messed with. Even when I was working at fast food no matter how many times I wanted to mess with someone’s order but I didn’t cuz I didn’t want the same thing happening to me, I always served the food to the best quality it is. But this one time when i was working at my FIRST job at a Italian restaurant there was a rush and I was making a sub sandwich and when I was almost done I see some red stuff on the sandwich n it was actually my BLOOD cuz I accidentally cut myself. Idk if the other worker served it cuz I went to the back to stop the bleeding and last thing I remember was lookin back at a bun that had some lil blood on it. I HOPE he didn’t serve it and just threw it away. But idk what happened cuz I was in the back stopping the blood. To this day I always wondered if he ate the bloody sandwich. I hope not like I said😭

I think this varies a lot by the restaurant, I work at five guys and the worst we've done is drop cooking utensils on the ground and not bother to clean them but we clean the flowers every night and don't have rodents so.

To mess with a fast food worker is the dumbest idea ever,
*they literally prepare your food in an area where you can't see what you're doing.*

3:01 you are the reason I don’t eat out, and I cook my food at home😭

I can confirm you do not want to mess with anyone at a restaurant. I work at a pizza shop, and whenever customers are mean to my manager who is the nicest manager you could ever hope for, I make sure to give those people less toppings, and less cheese. In general if you're a really nice customer, and you come in a lot, I will give you an extra scoop of pretty much every topping, and extra cheese.

about the syrup having old mixed with the new. it normally isn’t uncommon for the older stuff to be placed on top with the new on the bottom so the old stuff doesn’t spoil and we maximize the amount of containers/trays we’re using. however for the panera i work at if it’s already expired we don’t use it and just throw away the old stuff and have to prep more but it really depends on who owns it because for panera i’ve heard that some places are FAR worse than others when it comes to following the rules mine thankfully is one of the good ones and they only problem we have is occasionally we’ll have a mouse who dodges being killed for days or the avocados are put above the cheese on our sandwiches and burn a bit in the oven but other than that panera (atleast the one i work at) is quality and good food that you can trust isn’t nasty

I go out of my way to be nice to anybody who prepares my food. There's been times where I actually had to hunt my server down just to make sure that they got their tip.
