Man, this one took a long time to get a full review. Mike did a review of the solo mode a bit back, but I'm surprised it took so long to get a review here with how hot this game has been recently.

For what it's worth, I appreciate Sam continuing to give his thumbs rating as well. This creates neat continuity both to his YT channel and even to Miami Dice (who remembers that series?)

For me and a friend the only component complain is the cards are warped, like an uneven table on the corners.
Thought it was my friend shuffling, but on my fresh copy after opening them ... warped. Sleeved them, and moved on. (not much of an issue, but noting it happened twice) .
The bag has held for me, though . So YMMV here.

Amazing game

Glad to see Sam Healey back on the Dice Tower. Surprised he got the review as he gravitates towards Ameritrash, rather than Eurogrames. having played this three times to date, I agree that it's a light weight, simple rules, good build quality game with interesting strategies and he explained well how it is.

I picked this up over the weekend at UKGE. I was expecting a light game, but wasn't expecting to like it so much! My wife and I tried it, then immediately played 5 goes back to back because we enjoyed it so much!

My token bag fell apart within a week! That said beautiful art, fun game, easy to teach and get to the table - so a good buy for us

Only played this twice (once at 3 players and once at 4 players) but wasn't a fan. The combination of colors and iconography wasn't always clear to me (although I have a color vision deficiency so that could have been part of it). Player aides with the tech/build tree could have helped. "Nature themed" is pretty generous - it's an abstract. Strategically, it felt like some of the spirit animals were a bit unbalanced. In both games we played, the person whose spirit animal scored the most won and it seemed like some of that was luck of the draw in terms of how the tiles came out. I also felt like it was a disadvantage if you tried to play the long game and build "up" rather than "out", because someone else can easily cover their board and end the game quickly before you're able to do much. - - I'd try it again, but if given the option, I'd choose Cascadia 10 times out of 10 over this game.

I ranked it 8/10 too on BGG! (Not a professional reviewer, but I like to go over the games I played in a month)

Sam, thanks for the excellent review. Would you recommend this game for solo? I want to pay with my teenagers but they don't like board games! As a reference oint, I very much enjoy wingspan and Cascadia see solo

I notice the example setup shows the animal cubes in a grey, plastic tray. I doubt the game comes with that. If you don't provide your own tray, you'll have to dump the cubes into a pile on the table like a savage.
