It would have been more poignant if the ancient world-saving machine offered a sapling rather than a symbolic block of wood, but whatevs. Nicely done video. It was entertaining.

if there was no wood, you wouldn't be able to do anything....think about it

In a realistic setting without wood, anything made out of stone / cobble in this video (including the re-textured items) would be ultimately unused due to the fact stone was cut out by wood, and to cut it out by hand would be horrible.

This includes the torches in the video, because wood has a component for a more stable burn, while stone usually cannot burn, but if done would shatter.

The ice plains spikes biome definitely has a mystique you certainly explored. I also liked the ruby block (if that's what you call it). The whole thing was really neat; cool concept. I'd fight to return wood and peace to the world of Notch.
