His wife actually did know about him and Tammy before the show. It seems like it was an open relationship, and she was okay with it. That said, leaving your sick wife to go hang out with your gf whos also quite sick, and arguably encourage her sickness, is the real issue.

There were so many red flags with Jerry. He met her on a fetish site, he talks about how he likes “all kinds of women” while in a relationship with Tammy, he has 8 children with no MENTION of a wife or girlfriend who is the mother of any of those children, only to find out later that he is cheating on his sick wife. People like him make me sick :/ also I’m not saying being unmarried or without a partner while having children is bad, it’s just his specific situation and how many he has along side with all of the other stuff that’s wrong with him. People like him aren’t trustable in normal relationships, let alone when the person they’re trying to get with is in critical health like Tammy.

I love how Amy has turned her life around. Tammy just keeps getting worse. If she doesn't improve her life soon, the show is gonna take a dark turn with Amy attending Tammy's funeral.

Plot twist: Jerry and his sick wife are in on it and he just appeared on the show to get the money to take care of his wife. Not an honorable theory, still, but it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
