It's not just the weight at this point, its the fact that she can't even walk/cook/go to the bathroom without somebody helping her. She needs to at least be able to do the basic necessities to live by herself before having a boyfriend

The fact that when they were saying goodbye Jerry gave her a half ass hug and he didn't even bother to kiss her. That says everything. Even when he was hugging her he looked more than ready to get outta there.

i understand it's a BIG responsibility, but tbh he isn't the most suitable guy for tammy. he literally has a WIFE, can't even remember how many children he has, and eats junk food all the time. he just isn't a responsible adult. it's obvious that he doesn't really want to be in a relationship with her either- he loves her body, not her- that's not healthy.

When he hugged her good bye he was looking away from her. I saw the relief and hope in his eyes. He was happy he could leave that chapter behind and move on.
