It’s so refreshing watching you guys. So real, and giving ideas with a budget. Unlike most YouTubers - $40k first class seat, etc. Thank you for being authentic! Seriously thank you.

There are a lot of domestic workers from the Philippines and they all congregate in Central on Sundays. There are vendors who help the workers to send merchandise back home for the workers. Time for them to get together with friends and relax for the only day off for the week.

Thanks for showing us the world and that we can comfortably travel to more places than we thought!

I have a love/hate relationship with Hong Kong. I lived in China for 6 years but had to leave the country every 90 days. Hong Kong is Outside Mainland China for Visa purposes. I would fly from Chengdu to Shezhen, then a bus, a train to cross a line, and return.
I would also renew my Business Visa in HK. I once had to stay for 8 days, while my passport travelled to Los Angeles. Don't Ask! My 8 days were spent walking around and exploring HK. The clock tower you showed several times was the Clock Tower from a railway station which was demolished, but the left the clock tower and build a nice plaza. On the Kowloon side there's a park with 3 swimming pools, flamingos, parrots in a mini zoo. Worth a few hours . . . Best wishes from Bangkok.

As a Hongkonger, it's very interesting to see my place through the eyes of tourists. What a great video, thank you for sharing. Hope you enjoyed your stay here.

I know we spend way more than $100/ day but am looking forward to planning a few challenges for ourselves to live on a strict budget for all or part of our upcoming trips.

Can't tell you how much I love this series. People might think you're missing out on things, but I feel like this is the best way to experience a place and not just its tourist attractions.

Keep up the excellent work! We all love watching you!

I genuinely enjoy seeing content designed for regular travelers and smaller budgets. It seems that larger channels tend to rush through their edits, focusing solely on extravagant experiences or extreme ends, which makes it hard to find the same enjoyment in their content as before. Unfortunately, as these channels grow in popularity, they often undergo a significant shift in their approach.

Hi thanks a lot for this video. My husband and i recently went on a four day trip to HK and we took a lot of ideas from this video such as eating in cooked food centres, taking that longest escalator and getting down at different places, taking trams etc. We managed to save some good amount of money and also saw a different side of HK. So thank you for your videos. Much appreciate it.

I studied abroad in Hong Kong way back in 2003, and it's funny because it looks exactly the same! The same mix of old and new, the same trucks, the same fashion sense, the same great food. Sometimes, it's nice to see things stay the same. I know Hong Kong isn't the same place anymore, but so many things on the surface look the same. Love to go back and visit.

I love Hong Kong and Macau. I too budgeted for myself when I solo tripped there twice. The best way to save is eating where locals eat, avoiding anything fancy. There are so many beautiful places, parks, museums, beaches and sites that are free to see and enjoy. The Octopus is essential, not just for travel but to buy drinks in 7 elevens too. For myself, I visit every Bruce Lee site in these places, including temples and paying my respects to his teachers and his father.

The musical scoring is some of the best I have encountered here on YouTube. The music helps tell the story really well. I love it.

Great video. Lisa, when you corrected yourself at about 22:35 from good to well, I decided to subscribe. The misuse of well and good is a fingernails on the blackboard thing for me. It drives me crazy.
I had no idea Hong Kong could be done on such a small budget. Good job.

Such a beautiful, raw, genuine travel video. Kept the expectations so realistic while showcasing the culture and feelings. Happy to say I actually watched through the full hour! Thank you both for a wonderful POV exploring beautiful HK :)

I so enjoyed this video! It brought back a lot of great memories; our family did a similar budget-minded visit to Hong Kong in 2019. One of my favorite free activities in the city was the Hong Kong Museum of History. I thought it was a gem - I learned so much about this dynamic city, and the AC was a fabulous break from the heat and humidity + nice rest rooms. I used reviews on google maps to put together a DIY food tour which was so much fun, a great value, and delicious! Hong Kong is one of my favorite cities in all our travels.
