Mercedes Benz W201 190E it is an evo2 DTM project or as it is called Mervette...
The emergence of this project, which has been the work of many years, started with the owner's love for Mercedes Benz evo2s in DTM races held in the 90s. At the beginning of this project, it was desired to preserve the evo2 DTM lines with the custom-made body kit of the vehicle in the first place and the car became quite muscular.
Of course, the work is not only the outward appearance, but the adventure has been moved to the next step. 3-4 years of research before the project and 5 years of work after the start of the project, the mechanical, transmission and carrier parts of the vehicle were completely replaced with Corvette C6 Z06 parts, and they were adapted to the coupe of the Mercedes Benz 190E vehicle by hand.
At the heart of the work, while the LSX454 engine block of GM performance was used, the lubrication system was chosen as Dry sump and external coolers were used for all liquids, LG Blistein coilovers were preferred in the suspension system, and the 8-piston braking system of Lamborghini Gallardo in the front and 4-piston braking system in the rear made Mervette's stance strengthened. Pedals in this vehicle, which is considered only track-oriented, are developed with Tilton brand pedal box and prepared as dry brakes.

Uzun yılların emeği olan bu projenin ortaya çıkışı sahibinin 90'lı yıllarda yapılan DTM yarışlarındaki Mercedes Benz evo2'lere olan sevdasıyla başlamış. Bu projeye başlanırken ilk etapta aracın custom olarak yapılan bodykit i ile evo2 DTM çizgileri korunmak istenmiş ve otomobil oldukça kaslı hale gelmiş.
Tabii iş sadece dış görünüşte kalmayıp serüven bir sonraki adıma taşınmış. Proje öncesi geçen 3-4 yıllık araştırma ve proje başlangıcından sonraki 5 yıllık çalışmanın ardından aracın mekanik, aktarma ve taşıyıcı parçaları tamamen Corvette C6 Z06 parçalarıyla yer değiştirilip, el emeğiyle uğraşılarak Mercedes Benz 190E aracının kupasına adapte edilmiş.
İşin kalbinde ise GM performasın LSX454 motor bloğu kullanılırken, yağlama sistemi Dry sump olarak seçilmiş ve tüm sıvılar için harici soğutucular kullanılmış, süspansiyon sisteminde de, LG Blistein coiloverlar tercih edilmiş ve frende ise Lamborghini Gallardonun önlerde 8piston, arkalarda 4 piston fren sistemi Mervette'nin duruşunu güçlendirmiş. Sadece pist odaklı düşünülen bu araçta pedallar Tilton marka pedal box ile geliştirilip kuru fren olarak hazırlanmış.
Ülkemizin nadir projelerinden olan Mervette ile Belgrad Orman'ında güzel bir sürüşe çıktık, hikayenin kalanını size o anlatacak.
