Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5 16V EVO II - In action on the Nürburgring!

I have filmed a couple of Mercedes-Benz 190E 16V EVO II on the Nürburgring, the competitor for the BMW M3 Sport Evolution. Only 502 units of the Evolution model were produced. As mentioned 500 were made in "blauschwarz" blue/black metallic. But the last two, numbers 501 and 502 were made in astral silver.

Top Speed: 250km/h or 155mph.

These are so nice to drive! I tested an Evo II, and had the 2, 5 16v evo I myself for a couple of years. I'm over 30 now, and this is still the most fun car to drive on a day-to-day basis. You can really push it and it is so light that you won't get into serious trouble anytime soon.

Wow, the tiny side windows on that AMG make the view out of a new Camaro or the Chrysler 300 look expansive and bright in comparison. Tiny little bunker they call a "cabin" with little firing slits to look out of, like driving a pillbox around the track.

There is no better sound than an E30 M30 or AMG Evo II. But this video captured from the wrong spot. The very special in these N/A cars is the sound of the airbox. Like the roar of the most horrifying beast of our nightmare! How great those cars were?
