Why Indian migrants choose Canada over Mexico to cross US border illegally?

Illegal immigration is becoming more common, with people finding new ways to enter countries like the United States and the United Kingdom. Instead of taking the usual routes, many are now trying to cross borders that are less closely watched.

A growing number of Indians are now choosing to cross the Canada-U.S. border to enter the U.S. This is a big shift, as more Indians are now using this route instead of the more heavily guarded Mexico-U.S. border.

Recent data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) shows this trend clearly. In June alone, 5,152 Indians were caught trying to cross into the U.S. from Canada on foot. This is the highest number ever recorded. The Canada-U.S. border is over 9,000 kilometers long, making it the longest open border in the world, and it’s twice as long as the Mexico-U.S. border. From January to June 2024, the number of Indians caught at this border increased by 47% compared to the same period in 2023. The numbers have skyrocketed, jumping 13 times higher than they were in 2021.

Canada legal citizens first. USA legal citizens first. Other countries should tend to their own citizens. We should not be allowed to be threaten by other countries of what they want. They have no right or say what our own countries and people wants. They should fix their own countries and their population. Everyone knows Canada keeps an open border to all Indians in need, as long as you can afford a ticket. If the US rejects you, when you walk to cross the border, you can always come back to Canada and live on the free supplies offered by the Canadian government

Sad to see that Indian politicians brag about economic prosperity and jobs during elections, but the reality says something else.
