Everyone who says that Shanks slams are retards, it would mean Zoros dream is pointless, because Mihawk isn't actually the strongest swordsman. As Shanks is a swordsman, its his literal weapon and the only thing he fights with, cry about it. And Mihawk is stated to be the strongest swordsman. One Piece swordsman ship isn't like real life swordsman ship, its about mastering haki and using it to advance your power as a swordman. On Zoros way to become the strongest swordsman, he's done just that. Mihawk has the strongest Haki out of all swordsman, Shanks being one of those swordsman.

here are some reasons why i think mihawk is stronger than shanks

1) he is stated to be the strongest swordsman in the world with the best skills in swordsmanship

2) he alone has the bounty of 3.5 billion, higher than current two yonkos luffy the joy boy specially

3) he is the second person in history to convert a blade into black blade permanently after ryuma . we all know that ryuma is the strongest and he convert shusui into black blade, so gotta have a ridiculous haki . what made a swordsman strong, to have a good sense of attack which is observation haki, good armament haki, and to achieve the greatest level of swordsman ship you gotta have the strong level of conquerors haki so convert a blade into black . shanks is know for his strong conqerors haki and he is a swordsman you cannot deny its stated by oda that shanks only fight with sword, even so he cannot convert his sword into black blade so it means he lack the requirement in maybe conquror haki or armament haki to convert the sword into black blade . but mihawk achieve that level of mastery

4) if he is the strongest swordsman with the strongest blade in the world and also he turn this sword into permanent black in means he has achieved the level of haki that ryuma did to make his sword black
so he gotta have a stronger armament haki and observation haki than shanks

5) Mihawk is The Strongest Swordsman, Shanks is a swordsman yet he doesn’t hold the title of the strongest.

6)Mihawk’s Vivrecard says that he is looking of a new rival, stronger than his old rival Shanks (implying that Shanks is not enough to truly challenge Mihawk anymore

How can haki go to mihawk when shanks is stated to master all types of haki to their fullest potential and shanks haki surpassed people haki like gol d roger and whitebeard
And even oda said that shanks observation is strongest being able to stop someone from being able to see into the future when using advanced observation haki and remember their battles ended in a draw and when kaido talked about the people who could beat him he didn't mention even mihawk but he mentions shanks
