What we know:
-Shanks and Mihawk USED TO clash evenly with each other
-However Shanks is now disabled and Mihawk is considered the world’s greatest swordsman
-Losing an arm definitely affected Shanks’s abilities to a certain extent don’t pretend it doesn’t
-Haki ties directly with swordsmanship so we know that Mihawk’s haki overall isn’t necessarily inferior to Shanks and they should be evenly matched in other categories. Shanks does have more powerful conquerors haki but I doubt that Mihawk’s isn’t as well.
-Mihawk expressed disinterest in fighting Shanks which implies that Shanks hasn’t grown enough to surpass him and Mihawk isn’t one to wrongly estimate his opponent’s strength
-Mihawk’s bounty is also very close to Shanks’s despite Shanks being a Yonko commanding a very powerful crew as opposed to Mihawk who’s just a dude chilling in his mansion (yes he’s in the cross guild but that poses a much smaller threat than Shanks’s crew and the government believes Buggy is the mastermind not Mihawk)

There’s no proof of shanks being stronger than mihawk while there’s multiple statements in series and in the databook literally stating mihawk being superior. People like to use Jozu or vista as downplay when Mfs forget that the breath of all things is mihawks mastery and those fights were intentionally the way they were. Mihawk wins extreme diff

Range is a tough one because both Mihawk and shanks have shown incredible feats -
Shanks using conquerors from god knows how far away on that admiral at the end of Wano (forgot his name)
Mihawk being able to listen in on the reverie as well as track down don krieg from the grand line to the east blue and then track shanks back to the grand line
Both of them are goated
