4070 super just became the best 1440p on the market. The 12GB vram may or may not be an issue. 7800XT is still a fantastic choice. 16GB and raw performance. Uses way too much power though... which may or may not be an issue for some people, however can easily be solved by capping frames or undervolt... those are the only two cards I would recommend for new gamers to build a pc in 2024. enjoy

Definitely getting the RTX 4070 Super this year as an upgrade for my RTX 3060. Looks great for me.

Let's face it, the 4070 Ti is what the actual 4070 should've been from the beginning, and the actual 4070 would be the 4060, no Ti variants to confuse customers.

Are they for people who want to play some 4k60, but are willing to use upscaling and/or turn down some other settings? People who want to play 1440p high fps on competitive titles? I mean for the next 3-5 years.

i own a rtx 4070ti for 1 year now and the 12GB vram are pissing me off since the beginning, i ddint wanna buy a 4080, didnt go for a amd card cuz i like to use raytracing (i actually bought the 6950xt before the rtx 4070ti but it didnt do well in after effects like i couldt use anything at all there, gaming performance no rtx was great)

I just feel like the 4080 should have had 20GB vram and the 4070ti 16gb so it actually makes it a "ti" card and not a more expensive version of the normal version

and if i remember correctly the 4070ti used to be the 4080 12gb but im wondering... why nvidia
