Treating For Varroa Mites With Mite Away Quick Strips MAQS | Episode 1.08

In this video we try and take advantage of a cool spell here in Minnesota to apply some Mite Away Quick Strips. We are also checking on our honey supers and seeing if more need to be added or if they need more time.

I have an old package of Mitaway strips. Do they go bad? I open one and sure smelled awfully potent. So I'm assuming the answer is doesn't matter how will the package is if it's unopened it's probably going to be effective.

What kind of issues have you had with the MAQS, if any?? I've heard of hives absconding, queens dying, etc. Have you had any major issues??

Too hit & miss! Look into killing all the mites and saving every bee with Thermal treatment!
