Welcome back to Boneheaded Boaters of the Week! As usual we review some clips of some people doing some silly things on a boat mixed in with some people doing incredible things on boats.

This week we have a wild one as a truck and boat take on a road barricade.

Gotta love the guy that didn't vent his I/O at the fuel dock, blows the thing up and goes into slow motion while the boat is flaming big time right by the pump.
At least he abandoned ship, but the lack of sense of urgency is alarming.

in 22 years as a truck driver i cant count the number of 1/2 ton pickup trucks passed me pulling big boats going up mountains.but on the downside of the mountain i see them jacknifed into the trees with trucks being destroyed by the weight pushing them INTO the trees, when trying to brake to maintain their speed down the mountain.

I take my boat out alone. I put it in Neutral and make sure there not much forward momentum when I leave the helm just in case I fall overboard. I always wear my safety, Killswitch lanyard when driving.

So many people think that because they can drive a car, they can surely pilot a boat. It's so very different, they learn this the hard way.

I single-handed my 30 ft Newport all over the southern California waters for about 15 years.
I always had my fenders just flipped over the stanchions so when I came to doc I could just flip them over without any hassle.
If you want to know why they're called lifelines, ask the guy who fell in the water.

I’d like to go to the palm beach boat show but I am anchored nearby and shore access is lacking in this area. especially when the show shuts down the city docks for a month.

As soon as you put bigger tires or wierd tires, or stance, you need to lower your tow capacity and speed. Buy a sway brake or two (I put two on my race car trailer because one wasn't enough. If the sway doesn't start, it can't crash you.
