I am in love with how purely Evil the High Evolutionary is. He’s not sympathetic, he’s not doing this out of some lame attempt to save the universe. He’s a maniac with with a God complex and zero empathy, and I love it. It’s awesome how Pure Evil villains are coming back into mainstream.

The high evolutionary was truly a monster. What he did to counter earth is worse than what Thanos had done dusting half the universe. Counter Earth didn’t deserve to get blow up.

To be honest I would love to see this scene with each and every individual mcu villain we have had or villain in general to see how they would react with star lord and see their individual personalities in certain situations

High Evolutionary is literally the best villain in the MCU. You can easily see how calm and talkative he is now, but later he’s so impatient and terrifying. Iwuji nailed this role perfectly. He wanted to perfect his performance 👍

I'll give the High Evolutionary this. He's the only character like this that has anything positive to say about humans. Usually it's all "they're so primitive, " but he actually had some good and bad stuff to say. I also just love it how Peter gets fed up with his villain monologue.

Iwuji definitely one upped Majors as Kang. On top of the great performance the character was so immensely hatable. The way he looked down on those that he personally deemed to be inferior is an all too real problem in today's society.

The High Evolutionary proves that simply making a villain be as evil and unsympathetic as him makes a great villain because you want to see the heroes defeat them so badly for making Rocket and the other animals have to go through horrible tragedies, making his death very satisfying

What I love about this encounter is how angry Peter looks the whole time. Stuff like that and him instantly sobering up really sell me how much he cares for rocket. Really good example of show don’t tell
