When I was in Japan, I dropped my bullet train pass while in the station. I didn’t realize it was gone until the following morning. Of course, I panicked and went back to the train station and entered the lost and found hoping for even the slightest chance it would be there. The officer at the desk understood my English and guess what? A kind soul found my pass and turned it in. I will forever be grateful.
