That subway pusher would never exist in the US…the desire for a personal space bubble is too strong. The first person to get pushed would sue for assault…

That 4th floor thing... in America, the number 13 is unlucky and our buildings often skip the 13th floor too if they're tall enough.

You're right - Nihon/Nippon (日本) means "The Land of the Rising Sun" (literally "origin of the sun") because from China and the rest of the Asian mainland, the sun is rising from Japan.

Actually, Korea has the whole fake food thing too. Slurping is also considered a sign of respect for the food. In some old buildings, the "4" button for the 4th floor is replaced by the letter F. It's also common for students in Korea to clean their schools. And space saving parking lots are everything here too.
This is definitely interesting, ha

1) Because of your flag looks like red rising sun
2) Because of the 「日」kanji meaning sun from「日本」。

The closest we get to cleaning our classroom in the UK is frantically looking for a gluestick lid when the teacher notices there's one missing 😂😂

I love the photo booths in Japan! I didn't realize how cool they were and how much they offered. Photo booths everywhere else just seem like a huge let down compared to Japan's, ha

If I'm remembering right, the toilet water being refilled by waste tap water is also a thing in Europe. Not sure why he said it's only Japan.
It's true that most houses don't have that sort of system by default because our houses and water pipes are typically really old, but it is possible to implement. It's just not worth it when there's much cheaper ways of achieving the same goal of being better with your water usage.
Maybe Bright Side meant that that sort of system is much more common in Japan, but yeah, Europe knows about this sort of system too and some rich people might even use it.
