tldw:
K = unlocked multiplier
H = high performance graphics
Q = quad core
U = ultra low power
Y = extremely low power
E = ECC memory
M = mobile
T = low power, but still LGA
P = no integrated graphics
G = RX Vega graphics
*broadwell only (5xxx):*
R = high-end mobile, similar to H (but soldered on?)
C = unlocked = K
*as of x299/skylake-x:*
X = HEDT platform
_also note_ : i9-7980XE is not X+E, it just means "xtreme edition"

F - processor does not have integrated graphics. For example:
Core i5-9400F
Core i7-9700KF

I love how "Y" refers to extremely low power. It's like Intel is asking, "but y tho?"

I absolutely love the way this guy throws around hand/arm motions. They say 90% of communication is body language, this guy kicks that up to 99.9%.

4:33 The Broadwell C/R chips are actually quite special (and honestly deserved for attention than they got). The C-chips (i5-5675C and i7-5775C) were the only socketed chips with Crystalwell (embedded L4 cache/VRAM for a respectable iGPU) and were also unlocked. The R-chips were the BGA variants of the same. The iGPU of those chips (Iris Pro) rivaled a GTX 750, IIRC.

Thank you Linus for making these videos! It's been more than one and a half decade since I had a desktop, and wathcing your videos in the past few years, along with Luke's, Jay's, Paul's and Dmitri's is what gave me the knowledge and motivation to finally build one completely on my own. I just ordered the parts yesterday and can't wait to start.
Keep doing what you're doing!
Greetings from Hungary!

"K" means, I have read your long as message, but your not worthy of a full reply.

They forgot one "S" denotes "performance optimised lifestyle" which may relate to the addition of embedded options being available vs not being on the standard chips. Also generally these chips have a lower base clock but have the same boost clock as their normal chip counterparts.
