My first love was a chev 302 small block but my dad introduced me to the 4.6 when he bought a 96 mustang GT. These engines are strong and sound great I'm a 4.6 believer for sure I like the clean looking intake manifold you use sharing big league knowledge like a friend would

If you ever need a new block you can go with the NVH 02-05 Explorer 6 bolt aluminum block. They actually have thicker oil pan rails then a WAP or Teksid and I have seen people make more power on one and last longer. Not to mention there are plenty in scrap yards. I have a reman by Ford aluminum 2V in my 02 Explorer Limited (not sure what happened to the original engine) with super low miles I plan on forging and doing a similar single turbo setup for the street.
