Jeep Renegade Off Road Hill Climb out of Last Chance Canyon : TRAILHAWK TRACTION

After installing a brand new 1.5" Daystar lift and 225/75R16 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tires on our 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, Cindy and I decided to head down to one of our favorite trails in Southern California and put it all to the test. In this short video clip, you'll get to see a small sampling from our test and it's of our Renegade climbing its way up and out of Last Chance Canyon on a steep hill climb that we refer to as, "Graduation Hill". A town car out exploring is always a hoot... A while back we were out playing in our local spot ( South Africa has many great spots and very little land rights issues, when referring to accessibility anyway....) and we were missioning up a trail when one of the locals from the valley came down it in his VW Jetta.... it is his driveway to his house. He drives it everyday....looks like that bit of trail!

The Renegade is a curious little machine, I think. It looks better than the KL Cherokee, is lighter, and seems to perform as well as many others. I'm intrigued to see what the future has for these little guys.

My girlfriend has seen some of these videos, and she wants a Renegade, really bad. We test drove one, and I actually couldn't believe how much room it had, and how comfortably it rode. Just looking for the right bargain. She asked what model Renny, and said, "I want a Trailhawk!"

With the 225/75r16 wheels my Renegade TH scratches a bit.

With the 1.5" Daystar lift kit it still scratches a bit or fits perfect? BTW, is it easy to install?

All it really needs is lower gearing. Its amazing for what it is, especially compared to other small CUVs. But deeper gearing would go a long way.

It looks as though your tires are pushed out from the wheel well? Do you have wheel spacers or did the aftermarket rims you have do that? What rims are those? Sorry for all the questions, I own a Trailhawk as well and am trying to get rid of the cute factor.

what tires do you suggest for the 225/55/18's? I am looking for an AT tire but my size is a weird size on my Latitude. Should I lift it and get the KO2's 255/55/18's or go with the Blizzak WS80 225/55/18's? I'm so lost!
