I’m surprised no one is pointing out that the difference is only $120 (If you want 128gb memory) and then list what you get for that $120 which is a lot!
The iPhone 12 is $829 plus $50 to upgrade to 128GB - so that’s $879 vs $999 - only $120 for:
Telephoto camera
Stainless Steel
60 FPS HDR 4k video
Night time mode portrait
Brighter screen
LiDAR
6gb ram (vs 4)
That’s a lot of tech for $120.

I’ve never liked gold phones, in fact I find them quite garish and repulsive. But for some reason, the gold iPhone 12 Pro looks dead sexy!

I’m going from iPhone X 64gb to iPhone 12 Pro 128gb. I almost settled for regular 12, but then realized that AT&T offered a hell of a deal for 12 Pro. If you trade in an iPhone 8 or newer, you get an $800 credit towards 12 Pro. Making the phone only $200 (over 30 months) plus tax and activation fee.

I agree, the camera is the biggest difference in my opinion. Whats been hard for me to choose is that yes I take photos and videos often, but not enough to go professional, no interest to, just a casual thing for me. But, while having an XR now, my friend took a normal pic of the sky as it was still dark blue/black of the stars off her 11 Pro. And when I tell you my jaw dropped at the definition, clarity in zoom, its had me stuck on getting a pro next ever since.

Sidenote: With the difference being the telephoto lense and the LiDAR sensor, its seems a bit odd of Apple to have them so close in similarity. Something tells me in AT LEAST this coming year until iPhone 13, some products or updates are really going to take advantage of those slight differences the Pro models have. Ultra Wide Band chip, telephoto and LiDAR seem to be very key.

Not getting OLED a year ago made it obvious, but the Pro starting with 128gb + the extra RAM, which is always underrated, keeps it enticing beyond cameras. Where's that Promotion Apple???

I measure siding, roofs, and windows. The Lidar scanner makes the measure app next level. I have the Lidar on my iPad Pro, and the measure app goes from unusable to irreplaceable. Also once third party developers make different apps utilizing it things will be very cool.

Apple really scammed everyone this year. No chargers in the box, quietly putting the best camera on the Pro Max making anyone looking to go with the pro not want to risk the smaller size and miss out on camera performance. I was considering picking up the standard pro since I'm really getting sick of huge phones but I'm waiting to see how much of a difference the new sensor makes on the Pro Max.
