↠ ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Ysis, full-time mummy to toddler James and baby Isabella, permanently sleep deprived and lover of all things tech & beauty! My husband and I live in Wales but I'm originally from Brazil, and together we both believe that family is the most precious thing in our lives.

I am a gentle, but firm parent, still finding my way through this complicated world of motherhood with 2 young children, winging it most days, carrying a lot of love in my heart and some serious under-eye bags.

I'm a qualified lawyer, turned blogger & vlogger. I use my videos to share a bit of everything from makeup to mummy updates. Bottom line is, I'm just another mummy doing my best to juggle life, work, kids, house, family, friends & my own self, without losing my sanity!

I would describe myself as a very happy, positive, honest and loyal person; online shopping is my arch-enemy!

Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out all my social media links above, and please subscribe to my channel if you like my videos! :)

I lived in Br4azil from 1974 to 1984. The only reason I left was the economic crisis at the time. I cried like a baby on the plane leaving Brazil. Your comments are spot on, well, -presented and well-observed. I wish I was back in a Brazil even now.

If someone looks asian, or african etc, tells you "I am a Brazilian" just deal with it! We don't want to explain our genes...we are Brazilians. That's all.

My wife is Brazilian, and she has that positive outlook on people like you. Even when someone does something to hurt her, she's not vindictive about it. Her attitude is more of, " God will punish them." As an American, we tend to hate someone who has hurt us very fast. The Brazilians tend to brush it off better, or make some excuse for the person's behavior, especially if it's a member of their family. Don't mess with their family, no matter how wrong they are.

I'm Polish and my Husband is Brazilian (SP) and most of the habits what you said are true :D specialy with hugging kissing and expressions. I've never been hugged so much in my life and that's makes me so happy woman ;) cuz I love that. Polish people also showing lots emotions but not that much.. but we always love to be expressed in some point ;) .. And yes.. positivity - that what most of people around me should learn about it .. Cristian ( that's his name) brought to my life a lot of happiness, changes for better.. gave me more positive energy that I don't feel much more depressed now..and lots of fun. I don't know if you agree, but he told me once that Brazilian people like to make fun from themselves...lot's of memes, jokes, that they just laugh a lot ...thats amazing :D having a nice distance for themselves and others.. Polish people are little bit same but we always laugh from our weaknesses, you know xD
Hope you have a great time ! Greetings from Bham ;) <3

I'm an American who is working on a project about Brazil. I'm really impressed with the dental care in Brazil since many people from my state Kentucky doesn't care much about. Really love the berimbau and a big fan of a band called Sepultura. I find it very intriguing that Brazil is really social and care much about hygenine. Here we do like our personal space and not many people ever approach me unless I were to make the first move. Anyways, I hope I can learn much more about your wonderful culture!

As a native-born Chinese, I would like to answer your question about what Chinese would do in their daily life.

1.Chinese don't have too much touchy feeling, parents seldom show their love when they are speaking to children, but their would express their love in their actions.

2.Chinese may use cultury like chopsticks when they are having meals, but we don't use any cultury when we have fast food, we would wear plastic gloves when we having chicken legs
and wings to prevent cooking oils from such things.

3.Chinese would not take mutiple shower except in summer, if you live in the southern China, you will take two showers a day because it is very uncomfortable to stand the high temperature, but in the northern China, seldom people would take multiple showers a day.

4.Chinese people are always musclinity especially the man, most of them tend to rule and control their wifes when they are married, but I am really hate such a custom although I am a man too, I think this "traditional"suctom should be removed in the future.

5.Chinese man are always dress casually in the public, they don't care so much about their appearance, but girls would care much about what they look like when they are out of door, they would make up for an hour or more and make most of man feel impatient.

6.Chinese people don't eat too much fast food as our staple food, we tend to have meals like rices and many dishes on the table, but now most of the young people like fast food as their snacks, I am afraid that they would become fatter in the future.

7.Chinese don't have much coffee a day, but we have so much tea as our drinks, we would drink tea before we have meals, we would drink tea when we chat with our families, tea is our favorite drink and many Chinese tend to drink much tea in their daily life.

8.Chinese always study in a university far away from home, but we would live in a dormitory like borading school in western countries. We are not allowed to rent houses outside because school forced us to live in the dorm, that 's so different from western countries because most of the student there are living in an independent apartment.

9.Chinese would not focus on your nationality because most of us are from one country, but they would ask you which province are you come from, they would listen to your accent to distinguish if you are the local person.I have been discriminated by other province people when I went tourism because I can't speak the accent like them.

10.Chinese are not a positive nationality, we always feel negative when we see something bad happen on us, we are not a rich country, we still have so many people live in poverty especially in the rural area. Many people are always worried about whether they can having a meal and living in a stable place tomorrow, so we have a habit to stock anything like money, paper, salt and so on.I love this habit because it can save many thins when we are needed.

Sorry for my poor English, Thank you for your patient to read such a long comment.

I am from Italian parents but born in Cape Town, South Africa where I live - and because I look different to locals I am also constantly asked about my nationality. We Italians are also very similar in some things you mentioned regarding Brazilians. I really enjoyed this video, it was so interesting, thanks!

I went to Para Belem in 1978, I spent a week there, upon leaving I cried at the airport, I have never met such friendly people, and I told my friends about my experience, 25 years after I read in the newspaper that the friendliest people in the world are Brazilians.
God willing, I intend to visit São Paulo Brazil in January of next year with my wife, I am contemplating retiring in Brazil.

I always say that all the countries in the world are beautiful, it’s people who makes the difference.

I just had a long conversation with a woman who happens to be Brazilian; she's helping me learn the language. I was told she had an amazing personality. During our conversation she was very warm and supportive. Now I see its not a coincidence, I'm encouraged to learn more. Thank you for your channel!

Good job 👏 in describing Brazilians to outsiders !! Especially when you said about being asked where you from and we all say we are Brazilians no matter what our ancestry is, this makes our Brazil great in racial harmony, ,, colorless !! Bravos !! Obrigado!
