Hi everyone!
Thank you for tuning in.

So! I found that there were many botanical doodle tutorials in YouTube, but not enough Zentangle botanical tutorials.
In fact, as I explain in the video, zentangle patterns and doodles are different. Zentangle patterns need to be abstract, conceptualized and have the potential to be repetitive.
Zentangle art is supposed to be meditative, so it would be great if we could learn a pattern that we can repeat without thinking too much about it.

That is why in this series, I will be taking inspiration from different flowers to create some Zentangle patterns. For this first video, as it is Sakura season here, I am taking cherry blossoms as an inspiration.
And if you checked my previous Zentangle tutorials, you know I love combining different patterns together to create more complex shapes and illustrations.

So, today, we will be learning 3 organic botanical patterns, 3 linear botanical patterns, and I will also be giving you a couple of ideas of how to combine them.
Of course, when we make more botanical patterns from other flowers, the combination will look much more interesting! So stay tuned and let's learn together.
(Also, I will be uploading these practice sheets to my Etsy shop soon)

Finally, if you would like to support this channel, it would be great if you would check my Etsy page:

Take care of your hearts ♥

Love this whole series! I’d love to know where I could find that book on Japanese floral patterns and embroidery, too 😊
