Which Dressphere Is Best In Final Fantasy X-2

Which is the best in battle, but more importantly which looks the best?!

FFX2 actually has the best version of the traditional ATB system.

Funny cuz X has the best traditional turn based system.

Sucks that most ppl never got to delve into X-2's combat, just cuz they were turned off by the rest of the game.

My favorite final fantasy game! People often judge it for being to silly or girly but what’s the matter with that! I’m a guy and I LOVE this game! I was so excited to play this game for the first time when I got the HD collection that when I was playing X, I just decided to skip to get to this one and I don’t regret it!!

I never understood why this game is hated, I grew up with this game and played FFX after I played FFX-2, after playing FFX I still don't know why this game is disliked so passionately. The story and characters of FFX-2 are the product of the actions we took in FFX. People in Spira don't have to fear Sin anymore so they including the main characters are becoming happier and more optimistic, Yuna included. So when I see people say 'what did they do to Yuna?' all I can hear is 'Why is Yuna not miserable anymore?' in FFX she was ready to die for Spira, in FFX-2 she doesn't have that grim commitment anymore and as a result she is a happier person, I would say that she like the rest of Spira is evolving with the times, we should be happy that she has been able to move on.

Agreed on Dark Knight making the game boring. Darkness is an ability that costs no MP, never misses, ignores defense, ignores Shell and Protect, and hits everything on the field. Combine that with the job's generally high defenses and natural status guards and you have a class with essentially the tagline of "I don't care" and it's the go-to dressphere for wanting to go through the game without ever feeling tension or a sense of danger or challenge. Its only major weakness is its low speed but given all the time you save on simply "never having to think about anything", well, easy to see why anyone would naturally gravitate towards it especially on a first playthrough, but my god is it boring and a lesson in game design that making abilities/classes that generally just ignore most potential 'counterplay' from enemies is not a good idea.

Love this game. One of the better implementations of the job system in Final Fantasy IMHO.

My favorite job is actually the Trainer. I like that each girl gets a slightly different skill set. I also like how versatile they are without being considered cheap (I’m looking at you Mascot). They can: deal damage, heal both HP and negative status ailments, inflict status effects, and cast support magic. Plus they have the Stroll support abilities and half-MP so you rarely run out of MP. They really are the “jack of all trades master of none” class.

This game was my childhood, I was always the "gamer" between me and my sister but the one memory we share is playing the ever living FUCK out of this game. Any time I tell her about Final Fantasy she always eventually ask "Is Yuna in it?

Festivalist dresssphere was actually very useful for me during early game in Chapter 1 before obtaining the White Mage dressphere.

I always found the alchemist to be ridiculously overpowered as a healer once you got mega-potion and elixir and mix made it a crazy damage dealer

It's the video I didn't know I wanted until I got it. Completely forgot how the game starts at a concert but it does set the tone for the rest of the game. It was girly but really fun. Thanks for this trip down memory lane!

Everyone hated Trainer but personally I loved it for some reason and used it a ton! I loved though that really any job could work in this game but yeah I like the mix of trainer abilities and the pets themselves. Lol

When I first played this on ps2 as a kid I ran 3 warriors all game. Good time :)

I think all 3 girls should fully master White Mage because White Magic skills can also be used outside of battle. When used outside of battle, unless you're inside Via Infinito, I strongly recommend using accessories with "No Encounter" and "MP Stroll"; the Trainor dressphere also has MP Stroll, so you use that also for that purpose.
Having 3 Berserkers can come in handy at times, especially dealing with Elder Drakes in Via Infinito due to the Evade and Counter skill. With all 3 having that skill, the game will practically play it self! In the case of Elder Drakes, unless you have the Force of Nature accessory, I highly recommend using the Tetra Master garment grid because they are weak to ALL 6 elements!
