“My mom says there’s only one thing more pathetic than a grown man who lives at home, and that’s any woman who’s willing to sneak into his room.” 🤣🤣🤣

They all killed it... especially Danny Devito's story 😆

So much talent in this sketch. Especially love Phil Hartman & Julia Sweeney.

As a 40 year old who may or may not have to move back in with family soon I can relate

I can see this is an old skit but the reality is real in today's world. Chris Rock, Phil Hartman, Danny De Vito and the other cast members are hilarious..🤣🤣🤣

PHIL! Everytime I see him I miss him and it's mostly, because I'm still such a big fan of News Radio. I watched it for the first time almost 14 years after it first aired, but I immediately fell in love with each of the characters. Binge-watched it until that one season where he disappeared and after a quick research of why I was devastated. I can't keep myself to like everything I see [or hear] him in, because he was brilliant at it all.

Seeing Danny DeVito in this skit made me want to watch "Throw Mama from the Train" again. I love that movie. He's endearing and funny in it.

I'll tell ya what, the world is a MUCH sadder place without Phil Hartman!!

Rent anywhere is ridiculous. Sometimes there is no justification why rent is so high. Cost of living is just sky high I feel sorry for big families. Imagine the cost of living in 20 30 years from now

Most of us are actually living this. And they say our generation lacks a sense of humor.

Props to Chris Rock for borrowing the name “Reggie Noble” (who is more commonly known as REDMAN). Chris is hip hop through and through. ✊🏾✊🏾

These guys remind me of a 90s song by TLC called No Scrubs. "You live at home with your mama. Oh yes son. I'm talking to you." Lol

My parents never offered nor gave us a dime. Kicked us out and still thought they could tell us what to do. I don’t want that for my kids. It was very hard with no help.

Back when the actors didn’t stare at cue cards the entire skit

I loved basically with my Mom and Dad for 31 of first 36 years of my life, even after getting married I lived the first year there with my new bride, they played and blessed the table before eating my wife and I needed the tutoring and structure before setting off on our own. Miss them so much

I love this sketch thanks for posting these classic sketches. Kevin Nealon was one of the best parts of snl, him and dana and phil. I remembered kevin Nealon was on a monk episode where he played a character similar to this except the episode was set in a mental hospital. Old snl was the best, i think, the modern snl is occasionally funny but, old snl routinely had every single sketch cracking everyone up.

Hahaha. And it still holds true today.

I love today's cast so this is not diss, but more an observation of how the process must have changed since this era. Today the cast is quite conspicuously reading from cue cards, in the '80s and '90s that was far from the case. This particular cast/era, especially, both writers and actors, approached these not so much as skits but as dramatic/comedic vignettes. They clearly took the time to memorize the lines and rehearse.

They’re talking about rent like mine isn’t $1, 500 monthly for 1 bedroom! $300 rent is a dream!

The writers back then at SNL were so good.
