I started the game as a SUM 2 months ago or so, then I got to lvl 60 and wanted to try something new so I picked WAR. I just got to lvl 90 as a Warrior today and I can say that I regret nothing! Coming from a sprout on FFXIV that avoided tanking at all costs on other MMOs, Warrior helped me to get hooked on both the game and the role. This video is very well put together and sums up most of my thoughts on the job so far. Lastly, keep swinging your axes, fellow warriors!

I started FF14 a year ago. I picked Marauder as my first job and when Marauder in itself wasn't THAT fun. I completely fell in love with the Warrior. Eventually, I tried all the other jobs and fount others that I really love, but as far as tanking goes, even if the DRK is really fun, I always come back to Warrior. So it did become my main.

I'm a diehard healer main and so far I'm loving my level 45 warrior. it's very satisfying to swing a big axe around and be immortal when you're wall 2 wall pulling dungeons, regardless of your healer's skill level

I started out as archer/bard when i got the free trial but i found myself dying to simple encounters that were at my lvl, so i tried a bunch of other jobs and stuck with warrior. The self-healing made it so much easier for me to continue playing, and i even found myself enjoying being the tank in groups

In the high end of things: The invuln is still the best of all tanks, and imo is the #1 reason to bring it to high end content. Shorter CD enables strats that otherwise are not possible (especially apparent in dsr), or at the very least it let's u save CDs and kitchen sink the next TB (why they feel unkillable).

WAR at level 50: PAIN.
WAR at level 80: Rip and tear, until it is done.

I adore paladin but there's just something about my bunny girl charging into battle weilding an axe that is so satisfying

I recently brought my warrior back to life from 80 to 90 . This is my all time fave tank that goes brrrr!!

I'm going to quote my friend who mains warrior and basically convinced me to main it "A warrior stands tall against even gods. They unleash their wrath upon all who look to cause harm to their party. They laugh at deaths face and say "Try harder." Tvey stand there ground...only to destroy it." yup...that sold me.

I have never tanked in FF14, but since finishing Shadow bringers as DPS I have been really curious about tanking. Problem is, I have awful Anxiety and get worried about looking like an idiot or making people angry.

Bloodwhetting is great for dungeons and ok for raids imo. It just scales so insanely well for a sub 1min cd. That conan intro is also pretty ballers. Sums up the job perfectly, basically the d2/d3 barbarian of FF14.
