Radicals Complete Review - Simplifying, Rationalizing, Equations, Adding & Subtracting

Learn how to work with radicals in this comprehensive review by Mario's Math Tutoring. We go through 20 examples involving simplifying square roots, cube roots, fourth roots, etc. We also go through how to rationalize radicals when there is a radical in the denominator. We discuss working with the conjugate to rationalize the denominator when it is a binomial. We also discuss two different methods for simplifying radicals. One method involves using a factor tree and the other involves dividing out perfect squares or cubes. We work with adding and subtracting radicals and solving radical equations. We also discuss how to check for extraneous roots.
