Waddy! Wow, I haven't seen him in years! My band was on a compilation album he produced back in the 80's called "Boston Does The Beatles". That guy has stories.

Yeah I did the same thing when I want to play Stone stuff. I picked up a MIM Tele only keep five strings on it
and I keep it an open G all the time just for screwing around with stones shit 🤠🎸

Waddy is a top tier musician, producer, and guitarist. And then Keith comes along. Open G is blues and rock n roll. You only need a guitar, a cranked fender tweed amp, and one finger.
