*ATTENTION:* I did not include price comparisons in this video because what I've found in the past, most of these prices will change in 6 months. Even when filming I saw 2 of them (Meatstick and Typhur) change price. That being said, I put current prices in the description of this video and I can update those when prices change. Thanks for watching!

Sir, I've been in IT for 15 years, and have been a trainer for nearly 10 years. Your presentation, your clear and simple explainations, and well... I mean, those edits.
#Subscribed! Also, thanks for helping a professional nerd turned smoker get almost all my questions in a SINGLE shotgun of information video!

I have the TempSpike XR (Wireless Meat Thermometer) Model No. TP862B! Has two probes and takes interna/external temperatures at the same time! It can be used on two different meats at the same time! Its wireless setup is like the one here but there is no phone app for this particular model! This is specific for being near your wireless router and does offer an extender by another 1000 ft! It obviously will be affected by walls especially if your grill/smoker is on other side of your home! I've tested it on a gas grill, offset smoker and oven and it has performed extremely well! With thicker meats like a shoulder butt I used both probes on the meat because I believe the probes are only 4 inches long but I do my due diligence and use a quick thermometer to ensure food is properly cooked! Overall I loved the content!

I have had a meater plus and meater block for a long time. Recently got the typhur and it's all I use now. I love how you can set up a cook and track it without even having to use the app. The Bluetooth has a good range with the probes, so I can have the base inside with me, watching the temperatures without having to constantly open the app.

Compared to a 5” probe, a 4” probe isn’t small. Thickness and knowing how to insert it properly can satisfy most any situation. I can understand how having the option of different size probes could be beneficial if you don’t want to fool around with inserting it with optimal technique.

You inserted the chef iq along the side of the meat which would heat up I've tested all of these using sous vide to ensure accuracy and they are all dead on.

I see a wrist watch, I don’t see a wrist watch, I see a wrist watch, I don’t see a wrist watch lol.

The chef iq was inserted closest to the edge of the meat, it was bound to heat up first

Appreciate the review! These probe measurements though...
3/16ths
15/64ths
7/32nds
I wasn't trying to do math today. With something that small, use metric next time? I'm in the US, don't hate me. We got screwed on our system of weights and measurements.

Chef IQ- how could you list a probe that is 10 degrees off all the others despite any other features. It failed on the one thing that requires precision.
