Our Off Grid Water Reservoir is filling up!

Securing a reliable water source for our off grid life has been really difficult.
Borehole - drew salt water
Well - drew said water
3m shallow well - STILL drew salt water
We harvest rain water off of our roofs but out 10,000L tank wasn't enough to get us through 12 weeks of no rain in Summer 2023. Now we have installed this pond (aka water reservoir) and are hoping the problem is solved for good!

Love your channel. Good job with the reservoir. Have you thought about putting any fish in. You should be able to raise rainbow trout if you pop a solar aerator in the pond there are a really high source of omega-3 fatty acids and will give your family vitamin D throughout the winter which is essential for immune health.
Quick question how high are you? Above sea level? I noted that you said you were drawing saltwater. Are you near the coast? Is the aquifer drawing? Sea water in or is it a different type of salt (like Epsom salts)? Have you had the salt analysed? Maybe you could become a spa resort?😊
