I am a disabled veteran in Georgia with alligators in the backyard, and I love you and Marty helping me travel. Thank you two for your service!

I had so much fun 60 years ago at Bay Beach. 10 cents a ride, 10 cents for a snow cone
GREAT MEMORIES ❤ Thanks Sally

You know, you are single-handedly, putting Wisconsin on the map … er, wait, it already is … well, you are putting up a giant, neon sign saying, “Welcome, come see our sights, Sightseeing Sally says so!”

The burns I got on the Bay Beach slide as a kid dulled me to the pain of road rash in my later years....

Back in the day train travel was fabulous - High quality home cooked meals, comfortable beds and what was also a plus for football teams the ability to bring all their sports equipment with them. Train travel was actually a luxury during those years. Also the teams could have their own train cars so not to be bothered by fans and others.

"Back in the day" when McDonald's had those classic signs, they didn't have indoor seating. You ordered at the window and took it back to your car.

“Riding the ol’ rails like hobos” 😂 The combo of your pure enthusiasm & low-key humor is such a winning combo, and why I love seeing when a new video of yours shows up. Thanks for this great intro to Green Bay!

Sally, wherever you decide to be, and whatever communities you endorse, I totally agree. Marty, you are one lucky guy. Cheers.

Orange Julius is still around. I believe there is still one in Wisconsin. I want to say in Beaver Dam.

This one is SO Wisconsin! I’ve got a hat just like yours - but I think I bought it in the UP - thanks again for a nice tourist trip!!

Hello from Lafayette GA!
It's January 21st, 2024. The temperature was15° F this morning. (Not much different from y'all's today.) Y'all need to come down south in the summer months and do videos. We have Chickamauga Battlefield close by.
Dalton GA is close. Which is or was the Carpet Capital of the World.
Y'all are very informative and my wife and I love the show. Be safe and stay warm.

Hi Sally. I'm curious if you've ever done an episode on one of my favorite Wisconsin towns, which is Baraboo? Since you don't typically include the name of the town in your video titles it's hard to tell when just scrolling through them on your channel. I only discovered your channel recently and have been enjoying your content.

If you have not done an episode on Baraboo I would like to offer it as a suggestion. I can still remember maybe 20 years ago Baraboo was ranked number four on Smithsonian Magazine's list of "20 best small towns in America".

P.S. The "joke shop" that Marty recalls visiting at the mall was called Spencer Gifts. It was a mall staple back in those days. As a 55-year-old man I have many of the same memories as you guys. Loved the photo of you with your '80s "big hair". Good times!

I grew up in Shawano County, next to Brown County (where Green Bay is) in the 60s and 70s. When I went to college (UW-Eau Claire) in 1978 my dad gave me $100 to buy clothes. I went to Port Plaza and bought loud, stupid-looking "disco" clothes (hooded, fake-satin shirts and bell-bottom pants). Even a bathrobe that I called Joshua's Coat of Many Colors (from a John Hartford song at the time). When I was a kid we went Christmas Shopping in Green Bay because J.C. Penny's and Sears (I think) had window displays that were full of moving puppets and trains and sleighs. There were always big ships on the Fox River from European countries and elsewhere getting paper pulp or lumber products. Bay Beach was a great place to take my kids when visiting my sister when she lived there. I remember going to Packer games in the 70s when it was just a horseshoe of aluminum benches and no frills. Very cold, and the bathrooms weren't even heated. But Marty, even if you don't really watch the Packers, ya gotta know the difference between "Curly" Lambeau and (Saint) Vince Lombardi. They were very different (Vince was very religious and "Curly"...not so much.) I don't know who bribed whom to get it called the Best City to live in America. They never spent a winter there...

The very first McDonalds was in Desplaines, Illinois. They turned it into a Museum but you can or could look at it from outside through the windows. It's been well over 30 years since I have been there, so I can't say for sure it is still there. Just an add to nostalgia for ya. Take care, stay warm and stay safe.
