As a black woman who grew up in NY and will forever be traumatized by the man who came on the train when I was 7 years old and held it up and threatened everyone I approve the actions of this man. It was people like him who saved us that day when I looked at my mother and asked her if we were going to die. Also I find it convenient his family now knows how to use the court system to sue but couldn’t be bothered to get POA or guardianship for their grown son and have him committed for his own protection and society as a whole. I said what I said, go argue with who you slept with.

Sunny Hostin defending the criminals as usual.

Shame on anyone that says it's because of race. There were two black people holding him down as well.

Sonny is lying, several passengers testified to the fact he was extremely threatening and was saying he would kill people. Daniel only restrained him to stop him actually doing so.

So your own child is homeless in the street and now you act like you care?

Neely's family was absent when he was alive. Now, they are trying to cash in.

Wasn’t he arrested 42 times for violent crimes and released?

Let’s not forget this dude who died was famous for punching old women in the face around NYC.

Where was Jordan Neely family before this? Why didn’t PD resuscitate Neely? Neely was alive after the incident.
Penny didn’t do anything wrong, don’t go threatening people with 42 arrests and previous assaults

Ya'll skipped the Jay-Z conversation again today, huh?

Penny wasn't at a bar celebrating that Neely was dead, he was celebrating that he was out of jail and not facing life behind bars.

Andre should have taken care of his son. Step one.

The father really cared about his son by leaving him homeless and with medical issues.

Interesting how Ms. Hostin, an attorney, is ignoring the fact that Neely was screaming and threatening everyone in the train... Sunny is telling us that the guy was hungry, and deserved compasion but not telling us about what he said and did to make everyone in the train afraid for their lives. Let's ask ourselves, would this case be brought to trial if Neely was white, or if Penny was black?

It’s always funny hearing a bunch of women who’ve never been in a life-threatening altercation trying to lecture the men who step in to defend women and children how many seconds they should count in their head before letting go of the person who just said he’s ready to harm people if they don’t comply.

Anyone who looks to the View for intelligent commentary is truly insane.

Nothing like 5 rich women who’ve never been in a fight in their lives talk about how a man should de-escalate a violent encounter. Nothing shocking here.
