Mjolnir Sound : MCU Vs God of War Ragnarok | SFX Comparison

Comparison of Sound Effect of Mjolnir from MCU and God of War Ragnarok.
Which one do you think is better? or are both of them the same?
In my opinion both are the same and Ragnarok's SFX is just the MCU one but louder with a more robust "thump" in the end.

Fun fact: Thor in Norse mythology wore a magic belt (Megingjord) that was said to double his strength, enabling him to wield Mjolnir more effectively. Maybe it would have found better use with Kratos post-Ragnarok…

I think like some others have said before that GoW's sounds the same but heavier. I also find it cool that his snap is what calls it to him. Mainly because when you hear the snap you know the next thing you hear will be Thunder

Yeah GoW mjolnir definitely has more "OOMPH" to it's sounds

I love both, but in God of War Ragnarok sounds is cooler

They sound similar, but God of War's definitely has more heft to it. You can practically hear how heavy it is.

Both are great pieces of sound design, but on sheer weight alone GoW:R takes the cake. Especially with 0:20

i can’t really describe why, but mcu mjolnir never looked like a real hammer to me, just a movie prop. god of war mjolnir, on the other hand, looks like it would *hurt* if it hit you

MCU Mjolnir was my favourite until I saw GOW.
Same applies to Thor. I love Chris Hemsworth but after seeing GOW, I think they should have made him more tank like and a little higher than Avengers like Thanos

Marvel Mjolnir is my #1 favourite in every way, but GoW Mjolnir is certainly good and fits the setting it is in
