Rollo talks about Bjorn's true father - Vikings S05E11

Bjorns response is great. Who do I resemble most in looks spirit a d thought? Yep Ragnar.

Notice how for a good amount of their conversation, Bjorn does not look Rollo in the eye. In many cases, refusing to look someone in the eye is seen as a sign of weakness. However, in this case, it's the opposite. Rollo is not important enough to have Bjorn's full attention. The few times that he does look Rollo in the eye is when he declares Ragnar as his father or refers to him as such.

I love that when he explains his relationship with Rollo he sounds just like Ragnar.

😅 i love the way Bjorn was unbothered with what he heard him say; anyone else would have freaked out or atleast paused. He knew it was bs. Boy knows himself!

Alexander Ludwig did a phenomenal job here and through out the series. You can really see him being Ragnars son. From the way he acts and talks. Great acting in this show that the new vikings will never compare.

I think the writers took creative freedom with writing him as son of Rollo, to show the character progression that Ragnar was able to make an element of Rollo into a better man, the man Ragnar always wanted his brother to be. In the end Bjorn was a legendary fighter like Rollo, so much that he was 'the man that could not be killed', but is unquestionably a son of Ragnar through nurture

Rollo's not the father if he is does the God Odin also does not know. Remember when Odin visited Ragnars son during his death, it proves that Bjorn father is Ragnar proven by Odin.

Bjorn Ironside looked a lot like Ragnar even facial expression, character and even the way he speaks its exactly like Ragnar's, His soft spoken, bold and well mannered

I've just finished this series in whole. As much as I was over the moon to see Floki in the very end, I was also hoping to see Rollo make an appearance too. I guess at this point was the last time we were gonna see him.

Nope. Ragnar's instincts were better than Rollo's, always. Remember when Bjorn went off with Lagertha? And when Bjorn came back with Lagertha? Ragnar knew, he knew it in his gut and Rollo was always pixie-led with ambition and jealousy.

I've been rewatching Vikings recently. In season 3 episode 4 (Sacred, around min 38), when Vikings are staying at King Ecbert Villa, Lagertha talks to Rollo and she gives a hint that Bjron is Rollo's son.

I mean it makes sense Rollo would say this he does love Bjorn AND at one time he may have been in love with Lagertha BUT who does he resemble the most "in spirit & principle?" undoubtedly RAGNAR!

Bjorn is big like rollo and looks more like lagertha in the face. He’s definitely Rollo’s biological son. He acts like Ragnar because that was his perceived dad

This is one of those scenes where I wish they'd made adjustments but kept the bulk. Have it where Rollo says something along the lines of 'I trained you Bjorn, I was with you throughout your childhood, you are as much a son to me as you are to Ragnar', putting that point across but not actually pushing the idea that he genuinely is Rollo's son. Then include Bjorn's response. I seriously like the dialogue and acting that comes out of this scene but given the context the idea is laughable and absurd this late in the game.
