I love how open the Souls games and Bloodborne are. You really can play whatever way you want. Hide behind a shield, dual wield, ranged magic, bows, giant swords, fists only, ladle, anything in between! There isn't necessarily a "wrong" way to play and enjoy the games.
Story/lore is there if you want, but you can also appreciate the setting and environment while ignoring it.

Since my biggest complaint about Dark Souls 3 was the abundance of humanoid bosses, this DLC has me really excited! I can't wait to fight the Demon Prince and that Dragon. No shame in how nerdy that sounded.
