I'm an HVAC Worker and I'm SHOCKED by This Common Mistake

As an HVAC worker, I've seen it all! In this video, I'll reveal a common mistake that could be costing you money and comfort in your home.

In this video, I show a reckless HVAC worker (s) who installed the duct fire against a live sprinkler.
The duct installation could have caused the fire sprinkler to blow out and subsequently cause a flood, property damage, and a false alarm. The ductwork obstructs the sprinkler. Fire sprinkler requires 18” clearance from sprinklers deflector downwards by NFPA 13.

There are very sensible HVAC installer out there, but the HVAC worker that did the install in the video is reckless.

Scary, good thing you caught it. If the Fire Inspector saw that he would of probably been mad.
