She looks like she’s suffering pretty bad here...you think if the tables were turned a Canadian would be allowed to do such a thing? I hope she’s extradited.

It's is a awful situation that two Canadians don't get the same opportunity to present their defense as Meng.Reputation and amount of wealth or amount of funds spent on defense lawyers do not put one above Canadian laws in Canada. The judicial system has been abused far too long by this way of thought, that if one has wealth there is no accountability to be held for their actions. For too long people of privilege believe they have a life of different laws then the rest of society. Some of the biggest examples are the ones we vote in, our elected officials.Canada is a country based on the rule of law Magna Carta and freedom.WITH GLOWING HEARTS WE

Such a shame for Canadians, I wish this was not your family member being retained for political reasons

She will be back no matter what. Meng and her family own multiple very expensive properties in BC. This is the face of a foreign buyer. Dirty money parked in our provinces by people that are not planning on becoming Canadian and never paying taxes.

Canada is between a rock and a hard place with this. No matter which way the decision goes we lose.

Ms. Meng might have jinxed her chances of winning this case by virtue of being in an overconfident state of mind and celebratory mood in the form of a photo shoot! I guess we'll find out about her fate soon enough.

China: We got room in our belt and road for you too Canada. Might have to give up Nova Scotia or something like that, but we got you.

She needs to stay in prison and do the time. 10 years in jail, 5 years probation, 20, 000 hours of community services, and a apology letter to Canada. No 1 breaks Canada's law and get away aye.👈👀

The USA admits Taiwan is a province of China. However, U.S.A can sell weapons to Taiwan. Why Huawei couldn't sell some computers with some chips made by the U.S.A. to Iran?

I think Canada is getting a raw deal here. The general rule is that extraditable crimes must be those recognized by civilized nations as _malum in se_ (criminal acts by their very nature e.g murder, robbery) and not merely _malum prohibitum_ (acts made crimes by statute e.g trading with Iran), if they are _malum prohibitum_ in Canada, then Canada should prosecute not extradite.

While there have been numerous interviews with Huawei's chairman concerning his daughter's arrest, I do not believe I have seen any media interviews with Kovrig or Spavor's families concerning how much they must have missed these two.
