Netlify Tutorial –Deploying from Git

This video should be helpful but it does not account for when netlify doesn't detect the build settings automatically. My build settings were not detected and it seems that I have to enter everything manually. Where is the explanation for how to enter the settings manually for Git? They aren't mentioned in the video and instructions for manual entry/finding the info to input are NOT referenced in the video description. Please help!

I need help with submodules. Netlify is not taking environment variables or when I set the pat keys in my `.git` files in each directory.
