WE sail around the Big Island of Hawaii to the iconic navigator bay of Captain Cook.

After a couple days of exploring inland of the Big Island, we now sail around the dramatic West Coast of Hawaii and see more waterfalls than anyone could count on two hands.

An overnight sail brings us over the Kona side to Kealakekua Bay or also known as Captain Cook's Bay. We are extra super careful where we decide to anchor as this is a protected bay and Hawaii has some really tight regulations on anchoring.

We snorkel some of the most colorful coral reefs and plentiful spots on then entire state of Hawaii as well as feel the historical presence of Captain Cook and his crew when they first arrived back in the day.

They're all great, but the Big Island and Kauai are our two favorite Hawaiian islands.

Wow. I actually watch your videos. And from where you anchored... I can see the area where i live. And I 'm glad you guys followed the regulations. The rich millionaires just dump their anchors on coral reefs with no consequence because they have a lot of money and can pay the fine.

Great video! You've done the one thing Robin and I haven't. And that is sail around the Island 🏝. We have taken a helicopter ride around the island 🏝 several times ⏲️ along the coast. And it is Breathtaking! But by Boat 🚢 must be so cool. To bad ya'll didn't come around the south side. You could have seen the lava tubes. But all the water 💧falls on the east side of the Island 🏝 is just as cool.
Thanks again for a great video 📹! Until next week
Aloha and Mahalo from the Big Island 🏝of Hawaii. 🏝

P.s. kona is on the West side of the Island. Lol

I've seen people (YouTubers mostly) attach a 1-2 foot long piece of pvc pipe to the bottom of their done which gives them a handle to grab when landing it on the boat and doesn't trigger the "collision warning" feature that makes it so hard to land. Of course it needs to be light enough for your drone. You could probably use something like a paper towel tube as a temporary option, but I've not seen that tried.

I have now watched all of your videos! What am I supposed to do now?? We travel full-time by RV in the US...my next dream is to travel the world by boat. I'm aiming for a Silent Yachts model. Ps, I used to live in Hawaii and Kauai and Na Pali coast is going to blow your mind. Can't wait for that video.
