1/12/2023 -- BE ALERT -- Earthquake unrest spreading now -- West Coast California / Oregon M5.0

A new M5.0 has struck along the NW coast of the United States / Oregon, along the outer edge of the JDF (juan de fuca) fracture zone.

The spread of M5.0's comes from Alaska, and ultimately from the West Pacific unrest event currently taking place -- multiple M7.0+ earthquakes striking, plus spreads of new M5 to M6 level activity across multiple points of the Pacific in the past day.

Keep watch for the areas shown in this video for the next 4-5 days tops.

Just a prep tip in case of a major earthquake at your home... Zip tie or attach the correct size wrench to your gas meter. This way you don't have to try to find the right size tool if you need to shut off your gas ASAP . Also, research how to very slowly turn your gas back on when ready(never all at once). The site of the 5.0 off the coast of Oregon happens to be within the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which goes from northern Vancouver Island in Canada all the way down to Cape Mendocino in Northern California. That entire plate boundary is subject to (albeit rare) megathrust earthquakes.

Hey Dutch People, Just some advice from someone who lives to tell the story of the 89' San Francisco 7.2 earthquake. If quake hits in the middle of day & your family is in various locations, have a plan to unite. Phones land & cell may not allow for communication. Also you should have a few day supply on hand, of daily meds, always. Love & Safety to all💖

Hey Dutch, I’m in Southern California, Alpine, in San Diego County. I can hear the Earthquakes. Out of the blue a loud Rocket like sound can be heard. I note the time I hear it and then check USGS and EMSC. Whether they are generated in North Baja or if it’s at Borego Springs they can be heard. They can be heard for a while. I don’t always feel them but I can hear them.
