India election 2019: How popular is Modi in his own Varanasi district?

Today is the final day of voting in India’s general Lok Sabha election. It's the biggest election in the world, with 900 million eligible voters. One of the seats being contested today is the city of Varanasi, holy to Hindus, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is up for reelection. Modi is expected to win comfortably, but a controversial development project in the Kashi corridor around the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is devoted to the Hindu god Shiva, has dented his popularity, and not everyone is thrilled with their star parliamentarian. DW’s Nimisha Jaiswal traveled to Varanasi and filed this report.

I am from Varanasi and I can assure that nothing wrong is happening here. This is one the most important infrastructural project which is going to benefit crores of pilgrims. numerous temples especially of Gupta architecture has been uncovered by the authorities. many settlements were found illegal, so stop propagating misinformation.

When I visited Varanasi as a kid, I saw dead body of a baby floating in the river Ganges, some kids diving from a platform and swimming couple of feet away. Well to keep some thing clean and safe, you have to get rid of some things. That’s called logic.
Having the cake and eat it too as stated in here by the journalist is called Greed.
