Remember as a kid where I live they used to air Samurai Jack pretty late. So, my first time staying up at night and seeing this I was simply blown away. Ehhh, late night felt like a completely different world as a kid. Childhood is something really special.

The genius of this show is using futuristic setting so that he wont be fighting real people or monsters, he will fight robots so that there's no blood involved even in sword fights

Funny to know that uncle iroh is the master of evil in another universe

The concept to send you hero in a future paradox where he never existed and the villan already became the dominant force in the world for eons is such a godanm genius concept. I especially adore it's cinematography, it had alot to say, sometimes without uttering a single word or having to "hook" the audience from the very first second. Genndy Tartakovsky is just built different.

This, for me, was one of those “serious” cartoon watching experiences. It came on late at night, and watching it felt like I couldn’t do any BUT watch it. No cleaning, no getting distracted. Just sit and watch. It was far above so many other cartoons.

It also reminds me of the hour before I could go online because we had dial up.
