Gray Grid -- Moire Sculpture by Larry Akers

Gray Grid is constructed from a backdrop of a pattern-printed paper, overlaid by a separated wire modular shelf panels and two simple wire grid modular shelf panels. The separated wire has ridges that elaborate its geometry. The interactions of the wire panels with the patterned background create a very lively collection of moire effects as the viewer moves around the piece.
