This is how it went, I am an English convert, and I lived in North Africa, mostly, Algeria to be precise, and shiploads of food were shipped over to Ireland from Algiers, Istanbul (Turkey), Britain at the time was doing what Israel is doing today to the Palestinians, but, not just the Ottomans, most of North Africa, Ethiopia also helped, Indian Muslims, etc...

If look even further in history ....the relationship Ireland and othoman empire was very genuine ..the Irish ppl really are ppl of their word .where it was recorded in Turkey history archives ... During the first ww1 vouluteer nurses and doctors from ireland.came to othoman aid..it was recorded as Irish men volunteer themselves as soldiers in othoman army....
And now among countries Ireland is the only European country that consistent supported Palestine May Allah grant you guidance ... Happiness and good health always... Amin ...

Hi from Malaysia. The Ottoman caliph also sent their peoples to help Aceh (now part of Indonesia) to defend against colonizers. If you go to Aceh or you can watch yt video, they are many ottoman soldiers graves in Aceh.

The people of Aceh also being grateful and been keep and cleaning the graveyard until now. The Ottoman Empire maybe long gone but they still in heart of peoples and remembered. ❤️

thanks for your reaction. I am an Indian Muslim who is always grateful towards Irish people because of their support to Palestinians. just think the situation of Palestine. Palestine people give place for Jews to live safely from Nazi's (Hitler) and after some time those jews were gaining support from America and other first world countries and taking over Palestine and killing every innocent of Palestinian people. 2 million Palestinians were kept in camp. till now from the year 2000 approximately more than 1 million innocent Palestinians were killed by Israel occupation force and from the 1 million Palestinians more than 37% are Childrens of Palestinians were killed by Israel. those issues of Palestinians were hidden by today's modern media because Palestinians are Muslims, so today's media don't care if they die, or anything happen to them. today's media's coverage is about the rights of having gun or having an abortion when the Palestinians are don't even have the right to life. they don't cover it and popularizing other small issues in the world. support Palestinians

Thx for sharing this insight. I had no idea that Ireland had these links with the Ottoman Empire. I’m always however impressed with the courage of some Irish MP’s and MEP’s who stand up vociferously for the rights of the Palestinian people against Israeli apartheid and oppression.
