SAG-AFTRA Hollywood Actors guild led by Fran Drescher have agreed to make a deal with Hollywood studios to end the strike. But after A-list celebrities offered money to end the strikes early, and Hollywood studios like Disney, Netflix and Amazon turned down the SAG-AFTRA levy on subscriber deal. Has SAG-AFTRA won? Did they get the AI protections they wanted? Was the actors strike worth it?

Hollywood SAG-AFTRA strikes are over but as Fran Drescher led the guild seemingly more concerned with her own image than getting everyone back to work. Was the strike worth it? Did the actors guild get their target priorities or worse, did they turn down a better offer than the one they accepted? But what did you think of the strikes? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

I, for one, am glad that we are returning to viewing the actors the same way they were viewed during Roman times

A Hollywood endeavor centered around egoistic Narcissism. Who knew?

I’m a union worker in Hollywood, but on the blue collar side, and we had to sit there and watch all this whilst our bills went unpaid and we lost our healthcare.

Drescher is what happens when you close the asylums.

I didn't even know there was an actors strike until just now. Then again, when I look for entertainment, I look almost anywhere else BUT Hollywood.

The nanny talked her way out of 200 mil at worst for the people that voted her in that's what an "empathetic woman" gets you 😂

"placing it front of studio executives at negotiations..."
Ah yes, the classic "lunatic close." I believe I had to do a sales seminar years ago.

She sure knows how to arrogantly talk down to her members.

The strikes, much like the pandemic, only served to speed up what was already happening in Hollywood. Streaming blew up the business model, and now everyone’s trying to figure out how to keep their bag while the pie shrinks. Hollywood’s heading towards a painful contraction in the next few years, and with a looming IATSE strike around the corner I would encourage anyone who’s still there to get out while you can

Never thought I'd hear the words 'Furby' and 'dignity' in the same sentence.

0:12 and 0:18 That scene always had me cracking up. There's nothing in that apartment just a bed a few dressers and a table. What the heck did she have to do that needs 24/7 work.

Disparu, I've got soooo many comments regarding this whole thing but one observation that struck me very funny is that Drescher wants to pay actors streaming rssiduals based on show popularity rather than it being streamed...while condemning the studios for their bonus schemes which are essentially the same thing. Wtf??

She had a small window of popularity (why I don't know...she was pretty but there were are other actresses who were pretty, AND could act well, AND were enjoyable). These days, she appeared incompetent at best, and gave off the vibe of kind of a kid trying to fudge their way through an oral report for the class about the book they were supposed to read but didn't. And no professional in a billion-dollar business displays stuffed cope toys with pride. This was a joke.

I just dismissed her back in the 80s. This whole strike has made her repulsive.

I’m a man.

Im a leader in my work.

I’m empathetic. Or, at least I believe that I am. I have a good working relationship with the staff, and I’ve been told that my methods are fair. The staff respond well to my choices, and normally thank me for the support I provide.

I use the intellect at my disposal every day. I may not always be the smartest person in the room but, sometimes, I am. I may lack intelligence on any grand scale, or in s way that would impress a truly brilliant person, but I have always taken time to understand my own motives and choices, while listening to others opinions, and making what seems to be the intelligent choice.

Saying that men don’t use these two things, this is not an empathetic statement and it’s absolutely not an intelligent statement. This is a statement from a person with a very narrow grasp of people, a very narrow grasp of business dynamics, and nothing that they actually want to say. This is filler, this is regurgitated slop that only the most easily enticed fools would view as sensible language from a leader. This is the statement of a deranged celebrity that has nothing original, nothing substantial, and nothing of note, to say.

What's so impressive about what actors do that people attribute values to them that they have never actually displayed?!
