My mom made her version of this every year for Christmas Eve, wonderful memory. We drank it in a glass that fit into a silver holder. The holder looked like the bottom of a silver mug. ( I hope that made sense) that was our tradition and the only thing we drank out of those glasses. ❤️💕

Когда мы встречаем праздник на природе и вокруг мороз, то я кладу все специи и фрукты в термос и заливаю их подогретым вином.В таком виде глинтвейн настаивается и долго остаётся горячим.

I first had it at a christmas market. Absolutely amazing. It does indeed keep you warm! I'm sure the dark lagers and many types of wurst helped too...

Just a tip that I would do is to warm up the grape juice prior to adding it to the caramelized sugar.

I used Bordeaux Supérieur 2016 wine.
It suits also very nice. I bought the electronic thermometer lately just to keep the right temperature.
