(Spoilers)

Before J. J. Abrams was handed the Star Wars sequels, he established himself with groundbreaking TV (Lost, Alias), an entry in an action franchise (Mission: Impossible III), a franchise reboot (Star Trek) and this Spielberg-inspired nostalgia trip into 1980s Sci-Fi territory. Composer Michael Giacchino was along for all steps of the ride, and this score was one of his best.

Starring Joel Courtney, Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Noah Emmerich and Bruce Greenwood. Written and directed by J.J. Abrams. Original score by Michael Giacchino.

This movie bring a lesson to every one at the end, even those it hard to let go of something or someone, you must move on and continue your life, but the memories of the person you love and look up too will live on, that what Joe did when he let go of his necklace when he had a picture of his mother and himself as a baby.😢❤

Sometimes we all need someone to tell us "I got you".

This film is in my view one of JJ Abrams finest. It's up there with his Star Trek film's in my opinion.

i still would've not let go of the necklace if I was him. but I got to admit this scene gave me a BITTERsweet ending. making me feel so emotionally drawn on this scene is why this movie is remarkable.

Letting something go is a hard part but holding on is even more harder the more you hold on the harder it gets. When you let something go like someone you loss, break up, bad thing in the past let it go things will get better I guarantee it will.

I wanted a part 2 of this movie so badly showing the older characters, It Chapter 2 style, I even tried to upload the hashtag MakeSuper8Part2 to see if it reached Paramount Pictures or others involved. Director J.J Abrams and the cast have already said that if there is a sequel they are ready to come back!

I know I shouldn’t have but I watched this when I was 5 because we had it on DVD and my 5 year old ass thought it was for kids so I watched it and the ending sort of was weird to me
