I've never really shipped BF with Pico, but the interactions of their versions of this mod are simply too wholesome

I was never really one to ship in fnf BUT THIS MOD I WAS LIKE “They are literally so wholesome and cute together”

I really like how they chose to have these two be in a pre-established relationship before the story arc the mod takes place in, because it allows the main story of the mod to be about BF's progression in his conflict with his parents as a survivor, rather than focusing entirely on a progression of a romantic relationship.

This song does a really good job of summarizing their relationship to the player too, you get a general vibe for the nature of their relationship without needing their entire story spelled out for you.

If I could get more into the nature of their relationship along with the mod focusing more on BF's progression as a character, i love how Pico is soley a supporting character to BF. A common thing I see in storytelling is when you have a relationship involving a victimized character, their partner tends to be an ultimate guide and protector who becomes entirely responsible for them and acts as an emotional shield. Pico is established as a source of support and comfort but throughout the mod encourages BF to be his own independent person. Rather than being a shield, he kinda functions more like a safety net. BF's battle with his parents is like a pit he has to cross. BF can make the leap by himself, but might never try if he didn't have the security of the net to fall back on. When BF has to fight the demon alone for the final time, even with Pico gone, he's gotten to the point where he knows that he can win and can do it without the net there.

I freaking love this song. It sets up a misleading tone for the mod, since this song is joyful and chill, when in reality, the mod is darker than this song makes it out to be. I still love this song, it is my second favourite, next to Genesis.
